Reiki Originated in Egypt

As I took study in this program, I discovered "A Brief History of Reiki" and it's origins from Ancient Kemet to Modern Japan and Beyond.
In the sweeping sands of ancient Kemet, now known as Egypt, the origins of a powerful energy healing technique were quietly taking root. Among the towering pyramids and majestic temples, the Kemetic priests and priestesses held knowledge of an energy force—a divine energy that flowed through every living being.
This technique, shrouded in mystery and passed down through secret rites, centered on channeling the life force, drawing upon the natural energies of the universe. Scholars believe that these practices, alongside meditation and rituals, were central to the spiritual lives of many in Kemet.
A figure of significance during this period was the Goddess Serqet. Often depicted with a scorpion crown, she was seen as a protective deity, shielding and healing with her potent energy. It's said that those close to Serqet, the revered priestesses of her temples, were adept at channeling her protective energy and used it to heal both the mind and body.
As centuries passed and trade routes expanded, this profound knowledge began to spread. Scholars, traders, and spiritual seekers carried the tenets of this ancient Kemetic energy work eastward. Through a mingling of cultures and wisdom, elements of this energy healing evolved and melded with Eastern philosophies. These practices eventually spread to the West, thus “We” can partake in this most effective system of healing.
Fast forward to the early 20th century in Japan, where Mikao Usui, credited as the founder of modern Reiki, experienced a profound spiritual awakening. While it's documented that Usui was heavily influenced by his Japanese cultural and spiritual context, it's intriguing to consider that echoes of the ancient Kemetic practices might have been intertwined with the knowledge that birthed Reiki as we know it today.
Usui's Reiki revolved around the process of 'attunements'—a method where the Reiki master opens a pathway within the student to access universal life force energy.
These attunements, though different in method, bear a striking resemblance to the energy channeling techniques from ancient Kemet.
Today, with the global fusion of spiritual practices, we witness the birth of Serqet's Coven adaptation of Reiki. Grounded in both the rich history of Kemetic energy work and the refined techniques from Japan, this unique approach offers a holistic view of Reiki's journey.
Serqet's Coven not only pays homage to the Goddess's protective and healing energy, but also builds upon the attunements and practices of our channel of Reiki energy directly from the Goddess, she also gives the necessary healing herbs, oils, and crystals for all who receive Reiki from Serqet’s Coven, unconditional love is the basic foundation and we implement the spiritual system of Ma’at in Serqet’s Coven at all times consciously. There are also many images of the God "Anpu, or Anubis", administering Reiki to the Pharoah.
And so, from the golden sands of Kemet to the serene landscapes of Japan, and now to every corner of the world, the story of Reiki is a testament to humanity's enduring quest for healing, connection, and universal energy.
